Intense pulse light (IPL) aka photofacial is a way to improve the color and texture of the skin. It can undo some of the visible damage caused by sun exposure (photoaging). This treatment is customizable, improves the appearance of redness, broken capillaries, uneven pigmentation or “brown spots” and fine lines. Intense Pulsed Light treatment is non-invasive and non-ablative; which means it doesn’t strip any layers off of your skin. IPL Treatment involves precisely targeting pigmented or vascular lesions on your skin with high-intensity pulses of light. For pigmented lesions, the light heats and breaks down melanin responsible for coloration. For vascular lesions, the light heats and eliminates the red-pigment without damaging the surrounding tissues. After IPL your skin will look younger because of the more even tone.
